What Even is a Lotion Bar?
Simply heat the Lotion Bar in your hands, or apply directly to dry skin.
“This smells SO GOOD, just so fresh and natural! It’s so soft and I love how you packaged it! It’s helping my dry feet so much!”
“The lotion bar feels so soft and luxurious. It has helped heal my sons eczema.”
“Amazing product! I was searching for something all natural to help with my daughters horribly dry, winter skin (the peds recommendations weren’t cutting it) and Bekah delivered right on time... Less than a week of use and her red and flaky dry skin patches are basically completely healed! Her skin looks and feels so much better and I feel better knowing exactly what I’m putting on my daughter’s skin.”
If you follow Bekah’s Backyard on Instagram or Facebook, then you know that I am ALWAYS posting about Lotion Bars being in stock in the shop, or sometimes sadly, out of stock, waiting for me to make more.
But WHAT IS a Lotion Bar?
Lotion Bars are mess free, easy for on-the-go, natural healing for cracked and dry skin.
Lotion Bars are a solid form of moisturizer and they are softened by the warmth of your skin. Made with beeswax from my own backyard hives, these bars contain no artificial ingredients, no artificial scents, and no preservatives.
Can the lotion under your bathroom sink say the same? Probably not.
Beeswax is non-allergenic and anti-inflammatory. Lotion Bars made with beeswax form a thin protective barrier on the skin, while still allowing it to breathe.
Beeswax contains Vitamin A, and combined with Vitamin E, Lotion Bars hydrate, soften, and soothe skin. The Shea Butter helps to relieve irritation and protects skin from the sun, while Tea Tree Oil reduces redness and swelling.
Now that I’m done with my nerdy beeswax facts, HOW DO I USE A LOTION BAR?
NO WATER NECESSARY. That’s what makes a Lotion Bar so convenient. No messy pump bottle or extra steps required. Simply heat the Lotion Bar in your hands, or apply directly to any place that you experience dry skin: hands, legs, feet, face, whatever.
I don’t know about you, but living in Tennessee, I have the WORST allergies in the Spring and Summer and Fall, basically year-round. My eyes water until the skin in the corners is raw. I put a little bit of Lotion Bar on my finger and apply it on the tender skin. It provides a waterproof barrier, and nearly instantly soothes my chapped skin.
My husband is a fisherman, and he preaches the Gospel of Lotion Bars. He often has “bass thumb” or “bass palm” (gags). His gross hands need all the help they can get, and he keeps a Lotion Bar in the boat, in his nightstand, and in his bathroom drawer. The best part is, even with his hands in and out of the water all day, he isn’t having to constantly reapply.
Beeswax Lotion Bars provide the protection and moisturizer that you need on the go. If you spend a lot of time outside gardening or fishing, or if you are a nurse who is constantly washing their hands, this Lotion Bar is for you.
